WHAT SETS US APART

Housed in a loved historic building, Belmont Academy Charter School’s (BACS) approximately 240 early learners are prepared for elementary school success in a nurturing and family-like environment.

Typically, BACS students transition into Belmont Charter School for 1st grade.

A Day in the Life at Belmont Academy Charter School

Mornings at Belmont Academy Charter School

 

Students begin their day with a healthy breakfast.

 

Each day, every class has a morning meeting where we learn about each other and have fun preparing for the day ahead. This also helps us to build strong relationships between friends and between each teacher and student.

Afternoon Learning

 

Children are engaged in learning that is developmentally appropriate and individualized.

Social Emotional Learning

 

At recess we promote physical activity as we believe it optimizes learning and provides creative social and emotional growth.

 

We promote play as we believe it is crucial in a child’s social and emotional development.

Parents as Partners

 

We believe parents are our partners in their children’s learning.

 

We sit with each newly enrolled family to learn their goals and hopes for their children. Monthly parent learning and engagement events are held each month.

Afterschool

 

Many of the students stay after school for extended learning and fun.

 

Programs include art, music, science, and sports.
